Co-Founder of SLP Capital Forms The Edmonds Group, LLC

ST. LOUIS (March 1, 2004) – Henry M. Edmonds, co-founder of SLP Capital, has formed The Edmonds Group, LLC, which provides consulting and investment banking services to middle market companies.

The Edmonds Group’s focus will be on assisting companies in raising senior debt, subordinated debt or equity. The Company will also help clients identify, evaluate and complete acquisitions. Services will include consulting with clients to help them evaluate key business risks and develop a clear business strategy so they can determine the amount of capital required and the optimal capital structure.

The Edmonds Group will build on Edmonds’ extensive experience in middle market financing, investment banking and consulting. In addition to his time at SLP, Edmonds spent four years with PaineWebber Incorporated in New York, working in the corporate finance division. During his tenure at PaineWebber, he closed over $2 Billion in financings for the airline industry. Mr. Edmonds has an MBA from Harvard University and a BS in civil engineering from the University of Virginia.

Under Edmonds’ leadership, SLP Capital, which was founded in 1990, grew to become the largest specialty finance company serving the North American security alarm industry, having completed over $400 million in financings. SLP is a member of the Inc. Magazine Hall of Fame as one of only a handful of companies to make the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing private companies in the United States five times. Additionally, SLP’s Embrasure division grew to become the leading provider of web-enabled revenue management and billing software developed specifically for the security alarm industry. The Edmonds Group will be based in St. Louis.
